The Cabinet has approved the appointment of retired Sri Lanka Navy Commodore M.B.N.A. Pemarathne as the new Commissioner General of Excise.
He will replace U.L. Udaya Kumara Perera, a Special Grade Officer of the Inland Revenue Service, who is set to retire on July 10, 2025, upon reaching the age of 60.
