Harin hints next PM could be from the Uva Province

Former Minister Harin Fernando has hinted that the next Prime Minister could be from the Uva Province.

He made these comments at an ‘Ekwa Jayagamu’ event held in Badulla on Sunday (11).

“I can sense this. If we need to appoint a Prime Minister from the Uva Province, if we can win all 9 seats (from Badulla District), I will take the responsibility to make him the Prime Minister,” he said, referring to Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, who was also in attendance.
