Due to active Northeast Monsoon conditions, prevailing showery condition in Northern, North-central,Eastern, Uva and Central provinces is likely to continue in the next 24 hours further.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Eastern,Uva and Central provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
