Sri Lanka Police has announced that the ‘Inspector General of Police’s (IGP) Public Relief Day’ programme will not be conducted this Friday.
Issuing a statement, the Police said the programme which is conducted every Friday will not be conducted tomorrow (July 26) due to unavoidable reasons.
The ‘IGP’s Public Relief Day’ programme, which was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, recommenced in December 2023 and was held every Friday at the Police Headquarters, except on public holidays.
The programme allows the public to meet high-ranking Police officers, including the IGP, to find solutions to unresolved complaints. (Newswire)
