Suspended the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan that allowed for sharing the water of the Indus river system.
Expelled Pakistani military advisers and reduced the strength of the Indian high commission in Islamabad from 55 to 30.
Cancelled visas issued to Pakistani nationals under the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) visa exemption programme.

Islamabad announced the impending closure of the Wagah border, but said it will remain open until April 30.
All Indian citizens, excluding Sikh pilgrims, were ordered to leave in 48 hours.
Following India’s move, Pakistan has also suspended visas issued to Indians under the SAARC programme.
