The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has issued a warning regarding a surge in fake job advertisements circulating on social media and other online platforms. These fraudulent advertisements often misuse the official CBSL logo to deceive the public by falsely claiming to offer job opportunities at the central bank.
CBSL clarified that it does not post job advertisements on third-party platforms. Instead, all official career opportunities are exclusively published on the CBSL website under the “Careers” section and through the bank’s verified social media channels.
The public is urged to remain vigilant and refrain from engaging with such misleading advertisements. CBSL has also released an awareness flyer with key information to help individuals identify and avoid these scams.
Authorities encourage anyone who comes across such fraudulent job postings to report them immediately to CBSL or relevant law enforcement agencies.
