Parliamentarian and Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has tendered his resignation as Chairman of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
SJB MP J.C.Alawathuwala confirmed that MP Fonseka had resigned from the designation today.
Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka recently announced he will contest the 2024 Presidential Election as an independent candidate.
Earlier this week, the SJB MP also placed a cash deposit at the National Election Commission to contest the election. (Newswire)
