Former minister Namal Rajapaksa appeared before the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) this morning.
It is reported that the former Parliamentarian had reported to the CID based on summons issued to him.
Speaking to the media prior to entering the CID Office, Namal Rajapaksa revealed that he had been summoned to record a statement, but was unaware of the reason.
“I do not know the reasons for receiving the summons. I will have to go in and find out. The only way to address the allegations levelled against us is to come here. There are those who have lied knowingly, but we are not such people. We will respond to them with understanding,” he added. (Newswire)
