Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader MP Sajith Premadasa has expressed confidence that politicians in his campaign are not those who would cross over for political benefits.
Speaking to the media today, MP Premadasa said people from his camp will not change sides for soft liquor licences, land permits, various privileges, or money.
He further said that as a policy, the party does not allow persons making deals related to political benefits, while they also do not allow persons within their party to make such deals.
MP Premadasa went on to say that in the event they receive any asset, it will be utilized for the benefit of the citizens.
“No matter what happens, we will not rope in people using money and will not allow such people to work with us. We do not have such people on my side,” he added.
The Opposition Leader made the remarks while addressing the media after having handed in his nomination papers to contest the upcoming Presidential Election. (Newswire)
