Foreign worker remittances to Sri Lanka surged in September 2024, showing a notable increase from the previous year.
According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the country received US$ 555.6 million in worker remittances for September 2024, up from US$ 482.4 million in September 2023.
The report also highlighted a year-to-date rise, with total remittances from January to September 2024 reaching US$ 4,843.8 million, an 11.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. (NewsWire)
