Public Security Minister Vijitha Herath said that all efforts will be undertaken to resolve the ongoing passport issue promptly.
The Minister speaking to media said that discussions were held with the Director General of Immigration in this regard.
“He (Director) has guaranteed that the government will be able to issue new passports between October 15 t0 20. This is expected to end the passport queues and we hope to achieve this during this timeline,” Herath said. (Newswire)
