President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met today (25) with representatives of the United Forum of Sri Lankan Performing Artists at the Presidential Secretariat.
The discussion brought together members from various sectors of the outdoor performing arts industry, including event organizers, musicians, singers, announcers, dancers, and sound technicians. Participants raised concerns about the challenges faced in their fields.
The President said several of the issues were resolved during the meeting itself, and instructed relevant officials to take prompt action on the remaining matters.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Western Province Governor Yusoof Haniff, Ministry Secretary Prince Senadheera, Acting IGP Priyantha Weerasooriya, and other senior officials. (Newswire)
