Sri Lanka’s Presidential Election is currently underway with voting at 13,421 polling stations across the island.
A total of 17,140,354 voters are eligible to cast their ballots in an election where 38 candidates are contesting.
According to District Returning Officers, the voter percentage as of 12 noon is as follows;
Nuwara-Eliya – 45%
Galle – 42%
Matara – 35%
Kurunegala – 50%
Puttalam – 42%
Anuradhapura – 50%
Polonnaruwa – 44%
Moneragala – 32% (Newswire)
