Minister of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr. H. Sunil Senewiratne, visited veteran singer Ishak Beg at his residence in Kolonnawa this afternoon (June 29) to inquire about his health.
During the visit, the minister handed over a cheque for Rs. 1 million from the President’s Fund to support Mr. Beg’s medical treatment.
It is reported that many individuals and well-wishers have contributed towards raising the Rs. 10 million required for his treatment, demonstrating strong public support for the beloved artist. (Newswire)
