Rohitha Abeygunawardena, a Member of Parliament for the SLPP, has announced that he will support President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the upcoming presidential election.
Abeygunawardena is a close ally of the Rajapaksa family and was among the top officials in the SLPP who recently decided not to support Wickremesinghe in the election, instead opting to field the SLPP’s own candidate.
