Message from Health Minister Nalinda Jayathissa
I met with the Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Levan S. Dzhagaryan, yesterday (30th) afternoon at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media.
He shared that the Russian Minister of Health is willing to visit Sri Lanka this year, marking the beginning of an important dialogue.
The Ambassador appreciated the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the health sector and said that Russia will continue to support our work to provide better health services to the people.
He also expressed his support for our new policy to build a people-friendly health service, free from waste, fraud, and corruption, while helping the country move forward economically.
The Ambassador assured continued support for the development of both the health and media sectors.
Secretary to the Ministry, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, and a group of officials from the Russian Embassy also joined this discussion.
