The Sri Lankan Embassy in Jakarta has successfully concluded the second Temple to Temple Diplomacy Programme in collaboration with the Buddha Gaya Foundation in the Republic of Indonesia.

According to the Embassy, a delegation comprising three Sri Lankan Buddhist monks visited Indonesia and participated in numerous religious activities and events during the programme that was held from 07-19 July 2024.

During this programme, the delegation visited approximately fifty Buddhist temples located in various parts of Indonesia in the central Java region and engaged in a plethora of religious activities organized by the local Buddhist communities.

Ven. (Dr.) Divulapelesse Wimalananda Thero, a member of the delegation, conducted several Dhamma talks and discussions with Indonesian Buddhist monks and devotees. These interactions provided an ideal platform for exchanging invaluable Sri Lankan Buddhist concepts and practices, highlighting the values of Theravada Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
