The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has announced the immediate suspension of the party memberships of three key members.
Issuing a statement, the SLPP said that the party memberships of Pavithra Wanniarachi, Rohitha Abeygunawardana, and S.M. Chandrasena will be suspended.
The SLPP said its Political Board had decided that disciplinary action would be taken against party members who fail to support the party’s Presidential candidate.
The move comes after the three SLPP Parliamentarians had pledged their support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the 2024 Presidential Election. (Newswire)
