A team of Special Task Force (STF) officers in the Nuwara Eliya camp assisted a Chinese national who suffered a fractured left foot while hiking in the Lokanthaya, Maeliya area today (February 1, 2025).
Upon noticing the injured woman, the STF officers immediately provided first aid. Using available equipment, they improvised a temporary stretcher and carried her approximately 4 km through challenging terrain to ensure she received medical treatment. (NewsWire)
