Three members of a family, including a child, died in a house fire in Chilaw’s Sinhapura area, authorities said.
The victims, identified as a 42-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman, and their 15-year-old daughter, lost their lives when the fire broke out on the night of October 19, according to the Chilaw Police.
Police said the bodies were found during a search operation after they received a report about the incident.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway, police said. (NeweWire)
