The Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated slightly against the US Dollar today (Aug 26), compared to last week, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, the buying rate of the US Dollar has dropped from Rs. 296.55 to Rs. 295.37, while the selling rate has also reduced from Rs. 305.80 to Rs. 304.64.
The Rupee has, however, depreciated against a basket of foreign currencies, while it has appreciated against Gulf currencies. (Newswire)
