The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has launched a new anti-bribery initiative aimed at eradicating corruption within the institution, Transport Minister Bimal Rathnayake announced today.
In a statement on social media, the Minister confirmed that CCTV cameras will be installed across DMT premises within weeks as part of the drive, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery.
“Hope citizens and clean officials will fight hand in hand with the Government to eradicate this cancer in DMT within months,” Rathnayake stated.
The initiative is expected to strengthen transparency and improve public confidence in the DMT, which has long been plagued by allegations of corruption. (Newswire)
