A fifty-five year old resident of Mattakkuliya succumbed to injuries after his three-wheeler collided with another motor vehicle in Wellampitiya.
Police said the victim had lost control of the vehicle when he met with the accident.
The victim had died upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital. The motorist of the other vehicle had been arrested while Police are conducting further investigations.
A 58-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a lorry on the Colombo-Negombo Road in Seeduwa.
