Two separate fires broke out in Colombo this afternoon, prompting swift responses from the Colombo Fire Brigade.
The first incident occurred on Vauxhall Street, where a fire erupted in a building and spread to an adjacent structure. Five fire trucks were deployed to combat the blaze.
Shortly afterward, a row of shops near the BCC Bridge on Armour Street caught fire. The Fire Brigade dispatched three fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the flames.
No casualties have been reported from either incident. Investigations are underway to determine the causes of the fires. (Newswire)
