The key suspect in the murder of underworld figure Club Wasantha, Sujeewa Ruwan, also known as ‘Loku Pattie,’ was brought back to Sri Lanka today from Belarus, police confirmed.
The suspect was extradited under the supervision of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials and is expected to be questioned further regarding the high-profile assassination, which took place in May 2024.
Police said Sujeewa Ruwan is believed to have played a leading role in planning the killing. (Newswire)
