UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has called for the introduction of new faces to revitalize the party, following its performance at the local government elections, where it secured 488,406 votes, amounting to 4.69%.
“It wasn’t me who increased the votes; I handed over the task to a committee, and they did the work. But what’s clear now is that people are looking for something new. We need to bring in fresh faces and move forward,” Wickremesinghe said.
His comments signal a potential reshaping of the party’s image and leadership as it looks to rebuild support. (Newswire)
