WhatsApp is launching Voice Message Transcripts, a feature that converts voice messages to text, making communication easier in noisy settings or when listening to audio is inconvenient.
The transcripts are processed entirely on users’ devices, maintaining privacy by ensuring that neither WhatsApp nor third parties can access the voice messages or their text versions.
The new feature will be rolled out globally over the coming weeks, the company said.
